Outside of the onslaught of bold, outlandish, and absurdly expensive luxury timepieces that have been unveiled at SIHH (the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie) so far this year, there have also been a significant number of stellar releases in the dress watch category. Some, like the bank-breaking complex creations from A. Lange & Söhne may be a bit out of reach, while other offerings from the likes of Cartier and Montblanc have been priced quite competitively given their brand pedigree. With so many watches being presented over the last four days, narrowing down our top selections wasn't easy, but after careful consideration here are our top eight from the event.

Laurent Ferrier is a very new name in the watch industry, though with this latest release we expect to see his name popping up much more frequently. An exceptionally-crafted movement paired with an elegant, timeless dial and case design make the Galet Square Boréal one of our favorite new releases to date.
